Nourishing Hope: Food Distributions for Refugees in Cairo
We recently carried out two crucial food distributions in the first week of October in Cairo, providing essential sustenance to 100 newly arrived refugee families. Each family received a food pack containing rice, pasta, oil and other staples. Each food pack provided staples for a family of 4 for two weeks.
The distributions took place at [venue to be updated], where our dedicated volunteers played a crucial role in managing the process. The first distribution faced some delays due to a change in our usual assembly procedure, but it was a learning curve.
We have now leased a building in Cairo that will be our country headquarters. Once the building is furnished, we will be carrying out regular food distributions and will also provide other services from this venue. These distributions are not just about providing food; they offer hope and a warm welcome to those who have lost so much.
