Goodwill Caravan, in partnership with 5-Star Academy, aims to provide skill training in Libya for forcibly displaced people including internally displaced people from Derna and Sub-Saharan Refugees, most of whom are victims of human trafficking. The ongoing civil war and recent catastrophic flooding have led many people to find refuge in Tripoli, enabling them to rebuild their lives.
5-Star Academy currently runs a school for over 1,200 children and offers vocational training programs. It has been our partner in our efforts to provide immediate food relief and other essentials in the aftermath of the Derna floods.
Building on our successful past collaborations, this project aims to go beyond immediate relief, offering long-term, sustainable support to Libyan and Sub-Saharan youth who suffer from high unemployment rates of over 50%.
The comprehensive training program aims to provide the necessary skills to refugees to secure employment in the aviation sector.
